At the time of writing Rockstar hasn’t even acknowledged the Casino changes they’ve been subtly making to the game in the past weeks, let alone a release date.
That said we can have a fairly good stab at predicting when they might look to release this latest game-changing update to GTA Online.
Artwork Description GTA Online: The Diamond Casino & Resort — Major content update that introduces The Diamond Casino & Resort, a newly-opened business located in East Vinewood, new Casino Mission and Casino Work, 22 new vehicles, the Master Penthouse, and more than 500 clothing items, most of which are only available at the new Casino Store. The update was released on July 23, 2019.
Firstly, Rockstar tend to release new content drops on a Thursday. If you look at the past three weeks these updates have normally arrived every Thursday and you can continue to go back for weeks on end.
It’s just when Rockstar likes to drop new content.
So it’s possible that we could see this new DLC arrive as early as today, but if not we suspect we won’t be waiting too much longer for the content to drop.
It’s been, after all, over 6 months since the games last major expansion, which came with the GTA Online: Arena War update in mid-December.
Prior to that, we had the After Hours update released in July 2018 and before that Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series in March 2018.
Looking at 2018 on it’s own Rockstar rarely went longer than 4 or 5 months before dropping another ‘big’ expansion. https://ninshirt.netlify.app/free-5-reel-slots-online.html.
Understandably Rockstar has been busy with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online since late 2018. It was only Mid May that Red Dead Online officially left it’s ‘beta’ period.
Will GTA Online Casino update add a new currency?
Playing devils advocate there’s one thing which suggests we might have to wait a little bit longer for this update, and that’s all to do with the potential for new mini-game, a recent Red Dead Online update and microtransactions.
Something Gamesrader has eloquently explained in a separate report.
Dragon Slot Jackpot Slot Machine. Dragon Slot Jackpot is a progressive jackpot game from innovative game makers Leander Games that is an updated version of the Dragon Slot machine - one of Leander's best slot titles. If you've ever tried the original game and liked it, you'll be happy to find it updated with big payouts that don't depend on any bonus features in the game. Dragon slot machine big win.
“This news comes shortly after poker and other gambling games were added toRed Dead Online, stirring the pot since the game has microtransactions,” writes Ford James on Gamesrader.
Is The Casino The Last Gta Online Updates
“Only gold bars can be bought with real money however, and gambling in that game uses dollars, which are a separate currency.
“For Rockstar to avoid uproar, it’ll need to introduce a second currency to GTA Online that can’t be bought with real money, which we haven’t had any sign of yet.
“Only time will tell, however, and it’s likely that Red Dead Online’s gambling was used to test the waters for GTA Online, which is their big-time cash cow.
We don’t think we’re going to be waiting too much longer for the GTA Online Casino Update to arrive, but it certainly feels like it could be another major expansion to the ever-growing Grand Theft Auto universe.

The latest update for GTA Online is perhaps one of the most anticipated since the game launched back in 2013. The fittingly titled Diamond Casino & Resort update will finally let players into the Los Santos Casino.
For over five years now, the iconic neon-lit building in GTA Online has teased fans with an “Opening Soon” sign plastered across its doors, with many assuming that Rockstar were screwing with us and we’d never actually be allowed in. The fateful day has finally come though, and The Diamond Casino & Resort will be available to all on July 23.
Take a look at it in all of its seedy glory in the trailer below. Samurai slot machine lime frog up machine.
Here’s the official description for GTA Online’s latest update:
The massive construction project on the corner of Vinewood Park Drive and Mirror Park Boulevard is nearing completion, radically changing the skyline of Los Santos forever. When the brand-new Diamond Casino & Resort opens its doors, one and all are welcome inside to visit, or to stay in the most luxurious residence in the entire state. More than just a place to let go of your inhibitions and your sense of the passage of time, The Diamond is the one-stop destination for quality entertainment, high-end living and a range of entertainment experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
What slot machines payout the best. Being a casino, there are of course plenty of games to bet your hard earned (or stolen) money on. Using Chips, which sound like in-game currency for the casino, you’ll be able to play Three Card Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, and Slot Machines.
There’s even virtual horse racing for you to enjoy, all of which is sure to go down well with the dozens of politicians currently looking to clamp down on predatory practices in video games that encourage gambling.
If you head over to the casino’s official website, you’ll see there are two tiers of membership you can get; standard and VIP. If you purchase a penthouse at the casino, you’ll automatically net VIP status.
Penthouses are, as you can imagine, premium properties for GTA Online that come with spa rooms, spare bedrooms and private bars. They’ll also serve as the hub for a new batch co-op missions, at the end of which you’ll earn a shiny new vehicle, though Rockstar won’t specify what manner of vehicle it is.
Finally, there seems to be some kind of loot box-style element called the Lucky Wheel, which you can spin for chips, cash, clothing, or a exclusive new vehicles. Is it still a loot box if it’s a wheel though? Yes. Yes it is.
